A SMALL GUIDE

From your place
to your wall.

A map, a few choices, something worth keeping.

1. Find and frame

Open the editor. Search by place name and choose a result using its country/region context. Familiar and local names appear when available. Choose either name or both for your title, then edit it freely. You can also enter latitude and longitude, or drag and zoom the map. Latitude is limited to the map’s supported range; a notice explains any adjustment. The map stays north-up.

2. Make it yours

Choose Poster or Map only. Choose from seven styles and, for posters, Gallery, Atlas or Modern. Switch labels on or off. Pick portrait, landscape, square or story. Change the title, add custom detail and a personal line. Captions survive moving the map and switching modes.

3. Download a PNG

Standard PNGs are 1200 × 1600 (portrait), 1600 × 1200 (landscape), 1600 × 1600 (square) or 1080 × 1920 (story). Portrait print PNGs are 2400 × 3200, or 8 × 10.67 inches at 300 pixels per inch. All are free. The “Made with mapart.ink” credit is included by default; switch it off near the download controls if you prefer. Required geographic credits remain visible.

Saving and sharing

Changes save automatically in this browser. Share design copies a link; if clipboard access fails, copy the selectable link. Anyone with it can read the captions and location. Reset design clears the saved artwork. Privacy details.

If something doesn’t load

If search is unavailable, retry later, enter coordinates or move the map. Wait for fonts and map tiles before downloading. Try the standard size if print exceeds your device’s limits. WebGL and an internet connection are required. Unsupported caption characters produce a clear error; shorten long captions if they cannot fit. Font support includes a bounded Latin, Greek, Cyrillic and Japanese repertoire, not every Unicode character.
